Unfortunately I have recently been drowning under work - not such a fun experience. So this post is a bit outdated...last Friday I think....
Me and Angela had an impromptu night of relaxing on Friday, curled up on the sofa with our laptops close to hand, for spontaneous Wikipedia usage, lol. We settled down to watch Kerrang's 101 Damnation's (Hellraisers of Rock) as the guys had respectively abandoned us for decidedly less amazing climes :-p
We came across a rather fun Homage (to be pronounced with a vaguely French accent) game - in which you look for allusions to other videos in the one you are watching. I began this game with The Offspring's Hit That as an homage to Def Leppard's Lets Get Rocked. My evidence was the perspective - male character walking round town and the colouring of the protagonist (they were both blue). Another more amusing one was the start of Britney Spears' ...Baby One More Time with Queen's I Want To Break Free - the foot-tapping against the desk is also done by Roger Taylor (I think that is his name - the one dressed as a schoolgirl).
This nice easy evening also provided a retrospective look at our old music tastes... Songs like She Sells Sanctuary by The Cult, Papa Roach's Last Resort and Deftone's Back In School lead to a bit of excessive youtube-ing after - if only on my side, lol. I also realised the titles and bands from songs I knew (The Used: All That I've Got for example) :-)
Finally a double session of QI and we learnt that the Lake District only has one actual lake... I only remember that it begins with 'Br'...I think...

Well I'm off to chill and all that jazz... I shall maybe do a more up-to-date post...who knows, lol x x x
